Facilities
Boulder Adventures’ Centres can be found in the village of Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, the spiritual home of British climbing. The Bryn Du Mountain Centre, with accommodation for 40, is in the centre of the busy mountain village of Llanberis and houses our training rooms and booking office. In the village of Llanberis you will also find the Snowdon Mountain Railway, the start of the Llanberis Path to the Snowdon Summit and the Electric Mountain Visitor Centre. The high street of Llanberis has a selection of cafes such as Pete’s Eats, bars, restaurants and shops including the famous Joe Brown’s and V12 climbing stores.
The Padarn Water Sports Centre can be found in the stunning Padarn Country Park which, in addition to us, is also the home for Ropes and Ladders high ropes course, the National Welsh Slate Museum, Quarry Hospital Museum and the Lakeside Railway. Llyn Padarn is included in the park and this is the wonderful lake we use for many of our kayaking and canoeing adventures. High up above the lake are the Oak woodlands with their many marked walking trails some of which take you through the disused quarries which made Llanberis famous for its slate production.
